Sharon Yvonne Stone was born on the 10th of March the year 1958 in Meadville, Pennsylvania, to the accountant Dorothy Lawson and tool and die maker and former factory worker Joseph William Stone II. Michael, Kelly and Patrick are her siblings. Stone was regarded as an academically talented child when she began two grades when she was five. Stone graduated from Saegertown High School located in Saegertown, Pennsylvania, in 1975. She also competed in the Miss Pennsylvania pageant and won Miss Crawford County. Stone and her Aunt in 1977, made the move into New Jersey for a modeling job. She signed with Ford Modeling Agency a week after. She soon relocated to Europe and spent a full year in Milan as well as Paris. In the end, Stone became disillusioned with the modeling scene and modeling in Europe which led her to take up acting while in the country. The film of Woody Allen, "Stardust Memories", received mixed reviews at the age of 20.
